A full cab replica of WAG9 Electric Loco

 

 

 

 

 

A full CAB Loco-Pilot Simulator is used to train Rail/METRO drivers in a high fidelity environment with the objective of improving their driving efficiency, improving skills in fault diagnosis and handling of unusual occurrences as per G & SR.

 

 

Full Cab Replica

 

The Cab contains a highly realistic interior with all the  controls and Cab sub-system require to run the train.  All Cab equipment are functional and suitably modified  to generate

highly realistic Audio and visualexperience.

 

The Cab has been built using light weight aluminum  extrusion and can be equipped with close circuit television (CCTV Camera) and Audio System which is connected to the Instructor Control.

MICROPROCESSOR SCREEN

 

 

 

 

 

A fully functional microprocessor panel and driver

desk will display events and the status of the train. 


VISION SYSTEM

The Visual System will consist of a computer image generator 

and projection system, that will generate and display a real time images.

 

 

The visual speed will match with the actions taken by the driver.Obstructions on the track can be generated in real time or can be pre planned in a exercise generator.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Faults can be generated and corrective action be taken.  A 3D virtual environment allows the trainee to go to any  part of the train to take corrective action.

The Instructor Console will be equipped with a number of monitors to monitor and control functions of the Simulators in an interactive training environment. The console shall have graphical representation of all train component mutually help him interact with trainer and guide him during training session.

 
The instructor software will have following features :

  •   Scenario creation functions

  •   Simulation management functions

 

 INSTRUCTOR STATION

  

 

The entire train will be modelled and the

dynamic changes in the train as a result of
traction, braking, gradient, curvature, track
adhesion and irregularities will be displayed
on the Driver's auxiliary device. The
instantaneous velocity and forces will be
modelled for each Coach / Wagon. Multiple
loco operations are possible and the
locomotive can be attached at any location
in the consist. For any chosen wagon /
coach, the instantaneous forces acting on
the track wheel interface can be observed
in a 3D controllable environment.
Dual use instructor station can also be used as
Desktop simulator for training
 

 

 

 

BOUGHT-OUT HARDWARE OPTIONS

 

 

 

 

A motion platform may be attached the simulator. Motion platforms

do not add any training value but helps in creating a high fidelity 

environment. Motion platforms with 3/4/5/6 degrees of freedom are

available off-the shelf manufactured by any reputed brand may be 

attached to the simulator.

MOTION PLATFORM

                                      SOUND SYSTEM

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sound System is an equipment procured off-the shelf. We can provide

sound systems whichmay be simple stereo or a  complete  5.1 home 

theatre system capable of generating doppler effects and spatial audio

sounds.

PROJECTOR

 

 

 

 

We recommend the use of continuous duty high ANSI Lumen Projectors

with a good contrast ratio from Projection Design. However projectors

may be procured off-the-shelf from any reputed brand. 

 

Other bought-out components include CCTV, Public Address Systems,

additional monitors / projectors for the observation station.
