This is the most economical version of the Driver Simulator. The vehicle is operated in a simulated environment on a general

purpose desk with the use of a joystick. Exercises may be designed for development of specific driving skills such as :

  • Driving for power consumption
  • Driving for passenger comfort
  • Driving for minimizing coupler forces CGI / video track using SOVAC technology may

        be used on a full HD resolution

    

 

                          Driver’s Auxiliary Device

 

Separate monitors will be used for
      - Track video / CGI
      - Driver's Auxiliary device indicating train
        status and coupler forces
      - Drivers Desk instrumentation and

        indicators
      - HMI / DDS panel
      - Machine room operations
      - Speed / ATP panel
      - Public Information System Panel

 

This equipment can be used for training of multiple locomotives. i.e., the same simulator can be used for simulating a WAG9 / WDG4 and EMU.

The software allows the Instructor to build different train configurations and choose different track sections.

 

Both Geotypical or Geo Geospecific CGI / track video can be used for achieving training objectives.
